South Carolina football coach Shane Beamer and his team are on the road in Nashville this weekend to take on the 24th-ranked Vanderbilt Commodores. Both teams are coming off of a win as the ‘Cocks smacked around the No. 10 Texas A&M Aggies last Saturday, while the ‘Dores beat the Auburn Tigers on the road.

The Gamecocks are one win from bowl eligibility, but Carolina has their eyes set on winning out down the stretch. However, in order to do that, Beamer’s squad needs to find a way to win a 16th time in a row over Vandy. The Commodores, though, are searching for the one win needed to guarantee a winning season for the first time since 2013.

Ahead of the week 11 contest, South Carolina didn’t offer many hints about their weekend uniform combination. Vanderbilt, on the other hand, revealed their entire gameday uniform on Thursday. The Commodores will wear their black jerseys with black pants and gold helmets. If that combination sounds familiar to Gamecock fans, it should. Back in 2008 (the last time Vandy earned a win in the series), the ‘Dores rocked their gold-black-black look.

On Saturday morning, the Carolina social media team revealed the first piece of the team’s combination. According to a post on Twitter/X, the Gamecocks will wear their garnet helmet. However, it will have a white facemask instead of the typical black.

Shortly after most South Carolina fans ate their lunch ahead of the Vanderbilt game, the social team released the entire combination. The Gamecocks will wear garnet-white-garnet.

The white jersey and garnet pants appear to be standard, though, the post did not show them completely unfurled. South Carolina has not worn garnet-white-garnet so far this season.

Kickoff is set for 4:15 p.m. in Nashville. SEC Network will broadcast the SEC contest, and the ESPN app will make it available for streaming.
