South Carolina ranked No. 12 in Baseball America Preseason Poll
The University of South Carolina baseball team was ranked No. 12 in the Baseball America preseason Top-25 poll, the publication announced Monday morning.
The Gamecocks were one of eight teams in the SEC in the top-25. Wake Forest earned the number one spot, followed by LSU, Arkansas, Florida. Oregon State rounded out the top five.

This is Carolina’s third preseason ranking heading into the 2024 season. The Gamecocks are ranked No. 13 in Perfect Game and No. 25 in D1Baseball.

Carolina was ranked No. 17 in BA’s final 2023 poll after going 42-21 overall and advancing to the NCAA Gainesville Regional.
The Gamecocks open the 2024 season on Friday, Feb. 16 against Miami (Ohio). First pitch is set for 4 p.m.
