South Carolina adds defensive back transfer
After a slight delay in his original commitment timeline, Ball State transfer cornerback Myles Norwood has officially joined the South Carolina program. On3’s Pete Nakos reports that Norwood has already signed with the Gamecocks.
The 6-foot-1, 183-pound Norwood announced his commitment to the Gamecocks today, choosing them over Kentucky and Louisville.

Norwood recorded 38 tackles (22 solo), five pass breakups, and two fumble recoveries during the 2024 season.

Norwood is ranked the No. 62 cornerback in the portal by On3. He has two years of eligibility left.
A St. Louis, Mo. native, Norwood played at Iowa State prior to joining the Ball State program with a brief stay inbetween at New Mexico State from February to May of 2024.
He played his high school ball at Trinity Catholic High School in the St. Louis area.
Norwood is the eighth commitment in the Gamecocks’ transfer portal class, joining EDGE Jaylen Brown (Missouri), interior offensive lineman Nick Sharpe (Wake Forest), tight end Jordan Dingle (Kentucky), defensive tackle Gabriel Brownlow-Dindy (Texas A&M), LB Shawn Murphy (Florida State), QB Air Noland (OSU), and IOL RJ Newsom (Western Kentucky).
