Taylors (S.C.) Eastside class of 2025 four-star EDGE and South Carolina football commit Jaquavious Dodd continues his move up the recruiting rankings.

The 6-foot-6.5, 235-pound Dodd is now the No. 98 overall prospect and No. 11 EDGE in the country, according to the newly updated On3 rankings. With that bump up, Dodd is also the highest-rated prospect in the Gamecocks’ class and the No. 2 prospect in the Palmetto State, in those rankings.

On3, which updated its rankings on Monday to reflect evaluations during the first few weeks of the high school football season, has been high on Dodd for some time, previously ranking him the No. 140 overall prospect in the country before his most recent bump.

Jaquavious Dodd is someone that On3 has been higher on than the industry,” On3 National Scout Cody Bellaire said. “Early on in his high school career, we felt that the physical and athletic tools were there and we’ve been waiting to see them reach their full potential.

“Fast forward to his senior season and early returns have shown that Dodd has become a complete game wrecker. His length combined with his burst and power are rare coming off the edge. He still needs to fill out his frame and become a more complete run defender, but his ability as a pass rusher and willingness in the run game with his size and fluidity are extremely strong indicators towards future success.”

With Monday’s update, Dodd is now the No. 315 overall prospect in the country and the No. 31 EDGE in the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average of the four major recruiting media sites.

Harrisburg (Pa.) Susquehanna Township four-star wide receiver Lex Cyrus remains the highest-rated commitment in South Carolina’s class according to the On3 Industry Ranking.

On3 has Cyrus as the No. 109 overall prospect in the country. Gaffney (S.C.) four-star OL Shed Sarratt and Blackville (S.C.) Blackville-Hilda four-star linebacker Jaquel Holman round out the South Carolina commits in the On300.

South Carolina’s class is currently ranked No. 31 in the country.
