Seventh year OL transferring from South Carolina

South Carolina offensive lineman Jakai Moore is set to enter the NCAA transfer portal, according to a report from On3’s Pete Nakos.
Slated to head into his seventh season of college football, Moore originally joined the Gamecocks as a member of the 2019 recruiting class.

Over the past six seasons in Columbia, Moore has played in 44 games for the Gamecocks, starting 28, and has seen time at four different spots along the offensive line.
He missed the entirety of the 2024 season with a shoulder injury. The Nokesville (Virginia) product was a two-sport athlete in high school (baseball and football) prior to inking with the Gamecocks as a three-star prospect.

As a recruit, Moore was rated as a three-star prospect and as the 36th-best interior offensive lineman in the country by the On3 Industry Ranking.
Earlier on Thursday, South Carolina redshirt freshman Dante Reno entered the transfer portal.
Offensive lineman Kam Pringle, EDGE Wendell Gregory, and cornerback Emory Floyd are other former Gamecocks to have entered the portal during the spring window.
