South Carolina QB commit Dante Reno to compete at Elite 11 Finals this week
South Carolina quarterback commit Dante Reno and the rest of the top quarterbacks in the 2024 class are set to compete this week at the Elite 11 Finals in Los Angeles, Calif.
Reno, the four-star signal-caller who committed to the Gamecocks nearly a year ago, is one of twenty prospects who will take part in the prestigious annual showcase.
“It means everything. You dream of it as a little kid and grow up following it and watching it,” Reno told GamecockCentral‘s Mike Uva last month. “I know a bunch of people that have been in it before like Spencer (Rattler) and Luke (Doty), and they only speak highly of it.”

Quarterbacks compete at various regional events in order to receive an invite to the finals.
The 24th edition of the Elite 11 Finals will run from June 14-16 and will “bring together top performers to receive advanced, one-on-one quarterback instruction in a highly competitive setting. The 2023 Elite 11 Finals will span three days and include on-field drills, routes-on-air, classroom instruction and off-field development,” according to the official website.
The official class of 2024 Elite 11 will be named at the conclusion of the Elite 11 Finals.
On3 plans to have multiple full-time staff members on hand for the three-day event this week to bring network subscribers updates on the top performances.
Reno is ranked the No. 351 overall prospect and No. 21 quarterback in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 5 prospect in Connecticut.
Reno will look to make a jump in the On3 rankings, which consider him the No. 44 quarterback in the country.
