South Carolina offers Palmetto State WR who is committed to Tennessee
South Carolina is going to make a run at flipping Aiken (S.C.) Strom Thurmond class of 2024 four-star wide receiver Braylon Staley from Tennessee.
The Gamecocks extended an offer on Wednesday night to Staley, who has had a big start to his senior season.

Staley Tweeted that he spoke with both South Carolina head coach Shane Beamer, offensive coordinator Dowell Loggains and wide receivers coach Justin Stepp when he landed the offer.
Staley committed to Tennessee in late June but did not have an offer from the in-state Gamecocks at the time.
The 6-foot, 180-pounder is ranked the No. 137 overall prospect and the No. 24 wide receiver in the class in the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average of the four major recruiting media sites. He’s also considered the No. 3 prospect in the state in those rankings.

On3 is even higher on Staley, ranking the four-star prospect as the No. 97 overall prospect, the No. 18 wide receiver, and the No. 2 prospect in South Carolina.

South Carolina already has two receivers committed in the class, Greenville (S.C.) four-star Mazeo Bennett and Palmetto (Fla.) Cardinal Mooney three-star Zy’Marion Lang but would like to add at least one more high school receiver to the class.
South Carolina already has verbal pledges from four of the state’s top five prospects and five of the top seven prospects, according to the On3 Industry Ranking.
The Gamecocks are currently on their bye week and the coaching staff will hit the road this week to check in on prospects.
GamecockCentral wrote earlier on Wednesday about which prospects the staff will be seeing.
“It’s certainly a recruiting week for our staff. We know our guys will hit the road recruiting here this week,” Beamer said Sunday morning after the Gamecocks finished practice. “Our players will be off football-wise until Sunday, and then our coaches will be able to hit the road recruiting here the rest of the week.”
