South Carolina OL commit Isaiah Jatta set for official visit this weekend
South Carolina football commit and Ephraim (Utah) Snow College JUCO four-star offensive tackle Isaiah Jatta is set to take his official visit to his future school this weekend, he announced late last week.
Jatta committed to the Gamecocks on June 24 after taking an unofficial visit to the school.
“It’s just knowing that South Carolina is on the incline,” Jatta said at the time of his reasons for picking the Gamecocks. “When I was up there, you could see a whole different mentality from the visits I’ve been to. You could see how everyone in the building was on the same page and that’s what stuck out the most to me. Coach and consistency-wise, the coaches seem to be there for a pretty decent time, throughout my college career. And just knowing Coach (Lonnie) Teasley since 2019, it was just wonderful (catching back up) with him, so it was a no-brainer for me.”

Since that commitment, Jatta has seen his recruitment take off with schools like Auburn and Oklahoma State offering the 6-foot-6, 315-pounder.
Auburn has prioritized the big, athletic prospect and Jatta told Auburn Live last month that he communicates almost daily with members of Auburn’s coaching staff.
Auburn cornerback Keionte Scott is a former teammate of Jatta’s and he previously told Auburn Live that he was going to take an official to see the Tigers, though that hasn’t happened to this point.

Jatta is part of arguably the best offensive line class in school history.
Offensive line coach Greg Adkins and his staff of Lonnie Teasley and Sam Serbay have three additional four-star prospects committed in Roebuck (S.C.) Dorman IOL Markee Anderson, Hyattsville (Md.) Dematha Catholic four-star OT Oluwatosin Babalade and Atlanta (Ga.) Pace IOL Trovon Baugh and a high-upside three-star in Villa Rica (Ga.) OT Jatavius Shivers.
The On3Consensus — a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies — ranks Jatta as a four-star prospect and the No. 5 JUCO prospect nationally.
“I love everything about South Carolina,” Jatta told Auburn Live in that previous interview. “I know I will be there for an official visit Sept. 24. I can’t wait to get back there for my visit.”
The Gamecocks’ 2023 recruiting class to No. 17 in the 2023 On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings and No. 7 in the SEC.
