South Carolina LB target sets decision
Decision time is near for Henderson (N.C.) Vance County class of 2025 three-star defender and South Carolina target Taeshawn Alston.
Alston posted on Twitter/X Wednesday afternoon that he will announce his college decision at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, June 25 at his high school’s football stadium.
The 6-foot-4, 204-pounder has taken official visits to South Carolina, Rutgers and North Carolina. At one point he was also going to take an official to Virginia Tech but he recently canceled those plans and will now make his decision.

“I feel like their plan for me defensively is great,” he said. “They want to use me as a Micah Parsons. They want to move me, but I’ll still be playing at a linebacker position. They want to move me, put me on the edge some, get a couple of rushes in. And I feel like that’s great because the ability and talent I’ve got, I feel like I can do both.”
