Tuesday injury update on Trey Knox, Dakereon Joyner, Trai Jones

It appears South Carolina will get tight end Trey Knox back this weekend for its matchup with Kentucky but it doesn’t look as promising for running back Dakereon Joyner and offensive lineman Trai Jones.
Gamecock football coach Shane Beamer provided the latest on the injury front Tuesday during his weekly press conference.
“Injury-wise, in decent shape,” Beamer said. “Trey Knox practiced today. He should be fine for Saturday. Dakereon, I would say, is very doubtful for Saturday. And Trai Jones will be out Saturday. But other than that, we’re in solid shape. Hopefully, we can continue to get through the week healthy.”

Knox, who has been dealing with a hamstring injury, dressed out and nearly returned last week against Vanderbilt but with the Gamecocks in control of the game and rainy conditions, Carolina held him out as more of a precaution.
