Virginia running back sets South Carolina official visit
Woodbridge (Va) Freedom three-star running back Jeffrey Overton has added a South Carolina official visit to his docket, the 5-foot-9.5, 190-pounder announced on social media Thursday afternoon.
Overton, who has emerged as a target for new running backs coach Marquel Blackwell, will visit the Gamecocks the weekend of May 31 after previously planning to visit Ohio State then.

According to his On3 profile, Overton also has official visits set for Virginia (June 7), Maryland (June 14) and Virginia Tech (June 21).
South Carolina offered Overton earlier this month and Blackwell was also by his school recently for a visit.

On3 considers Overton the No. 42 running back in the class and the No. 18 prospect in Virginia.
The On3 Industry Rankings, a weighted average of the four major recruiting media sites, has him as the No. 937 overall prospect and No. 73 running back in the class.

The Gamecocks have established a nice position for the five-star linebacker and get the last official visit (weekend of June 21) before he decides in July.
Walker was back in Athens over the weekend for an unofficial visit to Georgia. He gave a strong review afterward.
