— Beamer praises Mizzou’s QB with his ability to throw the football deep. OL is a veteran group with some dynamic WRs, a good RB group, and some talented TEs
— Their defensive front is disruptive. Linebackers are active, secondary makes plays
— They use some of their skill players on special teams and their punter can throw
— Injury report: Mario Anderson practiced today. Stone Blanton is questionable and Vershon Lee is doubtful.
— Cason Henry “Probably won’t play this week” but he was out there today at practice.
— Beamer says that when they call pressures they have to get there.
— Played over 40 plays on defense of the 86 plays in man-coverage. Beamer says that’s too many plays and they need to get off the field. Says it’s technique and scheme and they need to play better
— More from Beamer on the defense: Got to be aggressive and have the mentality to get there on pressures. 86 plays is way too many. Called as many blitzes with man coverage as they did because they have great confidence in their DBs.

— Beamer shares that Nyckole Harbor has been more consistent with his catching in practices and he’s gaining more confidence. He’s been coming over to the ops building some nights around 8/9 to watch film with coaches.
— Nick Gargiulo remains the starter at center. With Lee’s status, Grayson Mains and JonDarius Morgan are behind Gargiulo if Lee can’t play.
— Beamer points out that one thing that will be different this time playing in Mizzou that they can fly directly into Columbia, MO this year. Two years ago they had to bus to and from St. Louis.

— If Stone isn’t able to go this weekend, one of the factors of deciding who will make the trip is who can make an impact on special teams. Adds that’s not limited to just LB.
— Beamer on WR Luther Burden – emphasizes the importance of fundamentals in tackling. Adds that one of Burden’s biggest strengths is his ability to break tackles and get YAC.
— “We need to do more. I need to do more. We have great young men in this program and they went right back to work on Sunday and today.”
— “We’ve got a good football team and it’s time for us to show it.”
— Beamer says that this group has responded well to the adversity: “We’ve got high character people in this program and we’re going to go about it the right way.”
