On3 updated its rankings for the 2026 class on Monday including a fresh take on the On300 which features four prospects from the state of South Carolina.

Columbia (S.C.) Ridge View wide receiver Jordon Gidron made the biggest leap of the in-state prospects and is now the No. 1 prospect in the Palmetto State, according to On3. He is ranked the No. 94 overall prospect in the class and the No. 12 wide receiver.

“Girdron has shown the ability to separate at all levels, both on Friday nights and in the camp setting,” said Charles Power, Director of Scouting and Rankings for On3 “The 6-foot-1, 180-pounder is a functional mover with change of direction and top end speed. He proved to be a tough cover at Under Armour’s Charlotte camp and recently took home state titles in the 100 meters (10.70 seconds) and 200 meters (21.63 seconds).”

As a reminder, the On3 rankings are produced by On3’s own in-house scouts and are different than the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average of the four major recruiting media sites.

Rock Hill (S.C.) South Pointe four-star safety J’Zavien Currence checks in at No. 2 in the state in the latest On3 update. The 6-foot-3, 210-pounder is ranked the No. 97 overall prospect in the class and the No. 9 safety. He is the top Palmetto State prospect in the class in the On3 Industry Ranking.

Newberry (S.C.) four-star tight end Jamel Howse is third in the state and the 6-foot-4, 214-pounder checks in at No. 153 overall in the class and No. 7 among tight ends.

Spartanburg (S.C.) Broome three-star running back Jaylen McGill rounds out the Palmetto State prospects in the On300 as the state’s No. 4 prospect. The 5-foot-10, 185-pounder is ranked the No. 276 overall prospect and No. 29 running back in the class.
