South Carolina lands Georgia LB with big upside

South Carolina football picked up another commitment for the 2025 class when Jaiden Braker made the call to pick Shane Beamer’s program.
The Snellville (Georgia) South Gwinnett product picked the Gamecocks over offers from NC State, Kentucky, Utah, Rutgers, Georgia Tech, SMU, and others.

The Peach State product was primarily recruited to South Carolina by linebackers coach/defensive coordinator Clayton White.
“He’s a real cool guy. And he’s simple, so there’s not nothing hard. Everything that was planned towards the defensive meeting was something we can get on and catch on to real fast, you know, it’s a game of football,” Braker said after his official visit to Columbia, which took place the weekend of May 31.
Listed at over 6-foot-2, 215-pounds, Braker is rated by the On3 Industry Ranking as a three-star prospect. The ranking – a weighted average from all four major recruiting services – tabs Braker as the number 73 prospect in Georgia and as the 76th-best linebacker prospect in the country.

Even though the Gamecocks did not offer a scholarship until the spring, the staff and Braker quickly forged a bond that eventually led to his pledge.
“They stay in touch, they kept building a relationship. So Coach Clayton will call me every so and then Dru Lindler, my recruiter,” Braker said. “He will be in touch at all times, so yeah. It’s a real good relationship building, and the OV helped. Obviously, we’re just gonna get closer from there.”
South Carolina’s staff likes Braker as a SAM linebacker in White’s defensive scheme. He is the fourth true linebacker commitment for the Gamecocks in the 2025 class.
