Virginia defensive lineman commits to South Carolina

The spring game netted another verbal commitment for South Carolina’s 2025 recruiting class when Virginia defensive lineman Caleb Williams pledged to the Gamecocks.

The 6-foot-6, 260-pounder chose USC over offers from Virginia Tech, LSU, Penn State, South Carolina, Tennessee, and others.

Williams is rated by the On3 Industry Ranking – a weighted average of all four major recruiting services – as a three-star prospect. He is additionally tabbed as the 10th-best prospect in the state of Virginia from the 2025 class.
