Collin Murray-Boyles inks Garnet Trust deal
Fresh off a breakout freshman season with the Gamecocks, forward Collin Murray-Boyles has inked an NIL deal with Garnet Trust, the official collective of the University of South Carolina announced on Thursday.
The 6-foot-7 Freshman All-SEC performer, who averaged 10.3 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 1.0 steals per game during the regular season this past year, had already discussed his plans to return to South Carolina at the SEC Tournament.
“Of course you have people talking,” he said, via The State. “Like my brother, he’ll be talking about it and stuff. But my plan isn’t to be — like I want to be ready. I don’t wanna go in, get a contract and then have to go to the (NBA G-League) because I have to work on a couple things. I want to go in as prepared as possible so I can have the best chance of longevity.”

While there were no signs that Murray-Boyles was looking around at other programs, collectives have held a major role in player retention in today’s college athletics landscape.
