South Carolina men’s basketball starter Zachary Davis plans to enter the NCAA transfer portal, according to On3’s Joe Tipton.

The 6-foot-7, 200-pound rising senior is a two-year starter for the Gamecocks after moving into the starting lineup last season.

In his three-year career with the Gamecocks, Davis played in 95 games with 38 starts averaging 5.5 points and 3.5 rebounds per game.

This season, Davis played in 32 games, making 19 starts. He averaged a career-high 8.2 points and 4.6 rebounds per game.

An Orangeburg, S.C. native, Davis joined the South Carolina program as a three-star high school recruit out of Denmark-Olar in the class of 2022.

After a disappointing 12-20 season, the Gamecocks are expected to be incredibly active in the transfer portal as Lamont Paris looks to rebuild the roster.
