South Carolina has one new name on its injury report in what has been a relatively healthy spring camp so far for the Gamecock football team.

South Carolina head coach Shane Beamer said Tuesday during his weekly press conference that walk-on running back Bradley Dunn will miss the final few weeks of the spring.

“He had a little bit of an ankle injury that’s going to keep him from being able to finish the last three weeks of spring practice,” Beamer said. “Nothing long-term, he’ll be back and be fine by this summer but he won’t be able to finish spring practice. Brad’s done a good job for us getting reps at running back and then did a lot of good things for us on special teams last season.”

Beamer previously indicated that running back Rocket Sanders, linebacker Mo Kaba and redshirt freshman wide receiver C.J. Adams will likely miss all 15 practices of the spring.

Sanders, the former All-SEC transfer from Arkansas, is still recovering from offseason shoulder surgery.

Last week, Beamer added that running back Juju McDowell would miss the remainder of the spring after suffering a collarbone injury while diving for a pass in practice.

“So obviously our running back depth is thin right now with Juju, obviously we’ve already talked about being out for the rest of the spring, now Brad out for the rest of the spring, and Rocket was already out with his shoulder injury, going into spring practice, so we’re getting pretty thin there right now,” Beamer continued. “But Jawarn Howell and Oscar Adaway are healthy and getting the bulk of the reps right now and doing a great job.”

Kaba is still recovering from knee surgery after suffering a torn ACL in the season opener last year.

Adams suffered what Beamer called “a little bit of a spring break injury” to his finger.

Walk-on offensive linemen Jaxon Hughes and Chase Sweigart have been dealing with undisclosed injuries, though Beamer said two weeks ago the hope is they’ll be back in the next couple of weeks.

The Gamecocks completed their sixth practice of the spring on Tuesday morning. South Carolina will practice again on Thursday before scrimmaging for the first time on Saturday at Williams-Brice Stadium.
