South Carolina LB Bam Martin-Scott signs NFL contract

South Carolina senior linebacker Bam Martin-Scott had a long road to get to this point, but on Saturday, he realized his NFL dream. Sources have told GamecockCentral that Martin-Scott has reached an undrafted free agent agreement with the Carolina Panthers, per GamecockCentral’s Mike Uva.
With the Panthers, Martin-Scott will bring smooth athleticism and solid size to the linebacker position. His versatility as a player who can stop the run, get after the passer, and drop back in coverage will help him as he fights to earn a full-time roster spot.

A Gamecock since 2021, Martin-Scott transferred to South Carolina after two seasons with Dodge City Community College in Kansas. The former junior college standout took some time to develop in Columbia but became a major part of a strong defense in 2024. Heading into that final year, he earned USC’s Most Improved Player of the Spring on defense.
