Adkins is in his second season at South Carolina after spending time at Marshall and a litany of other schools. This is not the first time Adkins has had to miss time at South Carolina due to health reasons. Adkins missed a game during the 2021 season dealing with health issues as well.
Lonnie Teasley, who is an offensive analyst, is serving now as the interim offensive line coach. Teasley is in his second year with the program. He’s had stops at Delaware State, Temple, Tennessee Tech, Arkansas-Pine Bluff and North Carolina Center. He was also in the NFL with the Balitmore Raves as an assistant offensive line coach.
Adkins is a long-tenured offensive line coach in college football and has his son, Nate, on the team with him this season.
“Greg is a veteran offensive line coach who has had a lot of success everywhere he’s been,” Beamer said when Adkins was hired. “He has SEC experience. Marcus Satterfield and I both worked with him at Tennessee and he’s also worked at Georgia. He’s an elite recruiter and builds great relationships with his players.”
