South Carolina officially has a new starting left tackle and a competition brewing at right guard.
The Gamecocks released their updated depth chart heading into the Mississippi State game with Tree Babalade the undoubted starter at left tackle.
Babalade started at Georgia, allowing just one pressure. H’es is top 10 nationally among linemen with at least 75 snaps in pass block grade per PFF. South Carolina lists Jaxon Hughes as his backup.

Sidney Fugar, who’s started at left tackle before, is listed as the starter with Tyshawn Wannamaker at right tackle. Fugar started at right tackle Saturday at Georgia. They’re separated right now by an OR.
The other big OR on the depth chart falls at right guard with Jakai Moore and Trovon Baugh listed there as co-starters. Baugh’s played some over the last two weeks at guard. Moore is also a potential candidate to start at right tackle if Baugh starts at guard.
The rest of the South Carolina line stays the same with Nick Gargiulo at left guard and Vershon Lee at center with Trai Jones and Grayson Mains their respective backups.

There is one more OR offensively. South Carolina lists Dakereon Joyner as the starter at running back. The Gamecocks separate Mario Anderson and Juju McDowell by an OR at the backup spot.
Anderson played 16 snaps in a reserve role Saturday–rushing twice for nine yards–while McDowell didn’t log an offensive snap.
South Carolina still lists Juice Wells on the two-deep as a starter despite his injury. Ahmarean Brown and Xavier Legette the other two starters. Nyck Harbor, Eddie Lewis and O’Mega Blake are the backups.
