South Carolina softball picks up pledge from Massachusetts pitcher
The South Carolina softball program’s 2026 recruiting class still has another year before it fully materializes.
But the Gamecocks gained another commitment on Nov. 18 when Weymouth High (Mass.) pitcher Jillian Ondrick made her pledge to the team. Ondrick made the decision official in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter.

“First and foremost, thank you so much to the South Carolina coaching staff for giving me this amazing opportunity! I couldn’t have done it without the coaches and mentors I’ve had in the past that I’m beyond thankful for, who’ve helped and pushed me endlessly to get me where I am today,” Ondrick said in her commitment post.
According to The Patriot Ledger – a local newspaper based in Quincy, Massachusetts – Ondrick “has been one of the South Shore’s best high school softball players since her eighth grade year.” She has earned three Patriot Ledger All-Scholastic selections over the course of her high school career.
