South Carolina starting guard enters transfer portal

South Carolina senior guard Jamarii Thomas will enter the transfer portal, On3’s Jamie Shaw reported on Tuesday.
Thomas spent one season with the Gamecocks and was a regular in the team’s starting lineup, making 26 starts in the 28 games he played. He averaged 13.2 points, 2.9 rebounds and 3.0 assists while shooting 37.2 percent from the field. He hopes to have one year of eligibility remaining, but that has not yet been decided.
Wherever Thomas lands next in his college career, it will be his fourth school after spending time at UNC Wilmington, Norfolk State and South Carolina. He’s the latest player from this season’s team to enter the portal, joining Austin Herro, Zach Davis, Arden Conyers and Nick Pringle.
