South Carolina is a perfect 6-0 in night games this season but has lost the other three games played during the day. The Gamecocks have played two noon games, losses to Arkansas and Georgia, with one midday kickoff against Missouri.

South Carolina’s wins at night have come against Georgia State, Charlotte, SC State, Kentucky, Texas A&M and most recently against Vanderbilt. South Carolina beat the Commodores 38-27 to clinch bowl eligibility.

The Gamecocks have lost three straight to the Vols with the last win coming in 2018, a 27-24 win at Williams-Brice Stadium.

They’ve won five of their last six games, including a 38-27 win over Vanderbilt last week. The Gamecocks hit the road to play Florida this week (4 p.m., SEC Network) before returning home for the home finale.

Tennessee, a legitimate playoff contender, is currently 8-1 but the Vols are coming off their first loss of the season. They lost 27-13 on the road to Georgia. Tennessee has its final home game of the season this weekend against Missouri (noon, ESPN or CBS) before coming to South Carolina.

The Gamecocks wrap their season on the road against rival Clemson while the Vols will play at Vanderbilt in their regular-season finale.
