Gold Medal Lish is now All-Star Lish after Allisha Gray was named to her first All-Star game Saturday as a reserve.
It has been a long journey for Gray. She won Rookie of the Year in 2017 and a 3×3 gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics, but seemed to fall out of favor as the Wings bottomed out. Gray had a bounce-back campaign last season and nearly made her first All-Star Game.
After six seasons in Dallas, Gray was traded to Atlanta and is having the best season of her career. She is averaging 17.7 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 2.8 assists. All are career-highs. She leads the Dream in scoring and is second in rebounding and third in assists.

Gray becomes the fourth former Gamecock to be named an All-Star. She is the second first-time All-Star this season, following Aliyah Boston. Boston was named one of the ten starters. They join A’ja Wilson, who is making her fifth All-Star game.
Shannon Johnson was a four-time all-star (1999, 2000, 2002, and 2003). Dawn Staley was a five-time all-star (2001, 2002, 2003, 2005, and 2006). Staley also won the inaugural three-point contest in 2006, her final season as a player.
Wilson and Breanna Stewart finished first and second in fan voting and are the game captains for the second year in a row. They will select their teams during All-Star Team Selection Special on ESPN on Saturday, July 8 at 1 p.m. ET. The All-Star Game is on July 15 at 8:30 p.m. ET in Las Vegas. It will air on ABC.
