Chloe Kitts had a triple-double, and Sania Feagin scored a career-high 22 points to help South Carolina pull away from Ole Miss for a 75-59 road win.

Kitts finished with 16 points, 13 rebounds, and 10 assists. She set a new career-high for assists and also had a career-high four steals.

With Kitts searching for her tenth assist in the fourth quarter, Dawn Staley called a timeout to make sure it happened. She drew up a play for Kitts to feed freshman Joyce Edwards inside. Edwards made the layup, and an exhausted Kitts immediately signaled to the bench she was ready for a rest.

“It was the hard way,” Dawn Staley said. “It was playmaking, it was determination, it was will. It was Chloe Kitts. Kitts has this in her.”

Kitts became the eighth Gamecock in program history with a triple-double and recorded the ninth triple-double in program history (Aliyah Boston had two).

Five of Kitts’ assists went to Feagin, who made 10-13 shots en route to her career-high 22. Feagin also had six rebounds and five blocks.

Ole Miss had no answer for Kitts and Feagin’s two-player game in the paint. South Carolina had 46 points in the paint, eight blocks, and was plus-five rebounding. Joyce Edwards only played 15 minutes but still scored 10 points.

The Rebels’ strength this season has been forcing turnovers and turning them into points. But the Rebels got just 12 points off of 15 turnovers, well below their season averages of 23.5 points off of 21.6 turnovers.

The Gamecocks won the turnover battle, getting 22 points off of 15 Rebel turnovers.

Sira Thienou led Ole Miss with 15 points but only had two in the second half. Christeen Iwuala added 10.

MiLaysia Fulwiley had nine points.
