South Carolina women's basketball: Final Players Era Championship details released
The location and TV information for the Players Era Women’s Championship were announced on Monday, about two weeks after the schedule was first announced.
All games will be played at Michelob Ultra Arena. They will be televised on the TNT family of networks (TNT, truTV, or HBO Max). Michelob Ultra Arena, home of the Las Vegas Aces, is part of the Mandalay Bay Resort.
Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Friday, July 25, at 1:00 PM ET.
South Carolina, Duke, Texas, and UCLA are the four teams participating in the event. South Carolina will play Duke on November 26 at 4:30 ET. The first game of the doubleheader, between Texas and UCLA, is at 2:00 ET.
The winners of the two games will play in the championship game on November 27 (Thanksgiving Day) at 8:00 ET. Afterwards, the losers will play in the third-place game at 10:30 ET.
The Players Era Men’s Championship takes place during the same week, with games split between Michelob Ultra Arena and MGM Grand Garden Arena.
Last year, South Carolina opened the season against Michigan in Las Vegas. That game, a 68-62 Gamecock win, was played about a mile north at T-Mobile Arena.

The Gamecocks played each of the other teams last season. They took three out of four games against Texas, including the SEC tournament final and national semifinal. They beat the Blue Devils twice, including in the Elite Eight. The Bruins beat the Gamecocks in Westwood in November.
The tournament is an opportunity for athletes to engage in at least $1 million of NIL activities for Players Era and its sponsors outside of competition. The organizers have insisted that the NIL activities will be approved by the NIL Go clearinghouse.

South Carolina originally announced it would participate in the Players Era Championship in December. At that time, it was announced that the event would be a three-game round-robin tournament.
The change in the Players Era event means that South Carolina has one less nonconference game scheduled than formerly thought.
South Carolina plays Southern Cal in Los Angeles on November 15. The Gamecocks will visit Louisville on December 4 as part of the ACC/SEC Challenge, and then visit South Florida on December 18. South Carolina wraps up the non-conference schedule against Providence on December 28.
The annual rivalry game against Clemson has not been confirmed, but there is no reason to think the Tigers won’t be the seventh non-conference opponent for the Gamecocks. That leaves approximately six games left to be determined.
The ongoing home-and-home series with UConn, which began in 2015, ended with last season’s game. It has been confirmed that the teams will not play this season.
