The 2025 WNBA season is 10 days old, and most teams are still finding their footing. That hasn’t stopped Allisha Gray and Aliyah Boston from getting off to sensational starts.

Atlanta Dream (3-2)
Allisha Gray
5 games (5 starts), 19.4 ppg, 5.4 rpg, 4.8 apg, 39.5 3P%

Death, taxes, and Lish filling up the box score. She was injury-plagued Atlanta’s iron-woman last season, and so far this season hasn’t looked any different. Gray tied her career-high of 27 points in the win over Dallas. After (jokingly) complaining that the Aces used a random clip of A’ja Wilson rejecting Gray in a highlight video, she even got some Gamecock revenge by blocking a layup by Ty Harris.

Last week:
at Washington (94-90 loss) – 36 minutes*, 25 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists
at Indiana (91-90 win) – 36 minutes*, 16 points, 6 assists, 2 rebounds
vs Indiana (81-76 loss) – 31 minutes*, 11 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists
vs Dallas (83-75 win) – 37 minutes*, 27 points, 6 assists, 5 rebounds, 3 blocks
vs Connecticut (79-55 win) – 33 minutes*, 18 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists

Te-Hina Paopao
4 games (4 starts) 5.3 ppg, 2.3 apg, 2.0 rpg, 36.4 3P%

Due to Jordin Canada’s knee injury, Paopao began the season as Atlanta’s starting point guard. After a couple of so-so games, she broke out with 11 points against Indiana. Unfortunately, she suffered a fluke injury against Dallas when fellow rookie Paige Bueckers accidentally swiped across Paopao’s face as they went for a rebound. Paopao did not return or play a day later against Connecticut.

Last week:
at Washington (94-90 loss) – 25 minutes*, 7 points, 4 assists, 3 rebounds, 1-3 3PT
at Indiana (91-90 win) – 18 minutes*, 3 points, 2 rebounds, assist, 0-1 3PT
vs Indiana (81-76 loss) – 30 minutes*, 11 points, 3 assists, 2 rebounds, 3-6 3PT
vs Dallas (83-75 win) 6 minutes*, rebound, assist, 0-1 3PT
vs Connecticut (79-55 win) – DNP-Face

Upcoming games:
Tuesday, May 27 at Los Angeles (10:00 ET, League Pass)
Friday, May 30 at Seattle (10:00 ET, Ion/League Pass)

Chicago Sky (0-3)
Kamilla Cardoso
3 games (3 starts), 21.4 mpg, 8.3 ppg, 4.0 rpg, 1.7 apg, 0.7 bpg

Chicago has a new coach and a new system, and the adjustment is taking a while. The Sky struggled to get Cardoso involved in the first two games. She finally found an offensive groove in the third game, but was limited to just 19 minutes due to foul trouble.

Last week:
at Indiana (93-58 loss) – 22 minutes*, 7 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 blocks
vs New York (99-74 loss) – 23 minutes*, 6 points, 4 rebounds, steal
at Los Angeles (91-78 loss) – 19 minutes*, 12 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists (5 fouls)

Upcoming games:
Tuesday, May 27 at Phoenix (10:00 ET, League Pass)
Thursday, May 29 vs Dallas (8:00 ET, Prime Video)
Saturday, May 31 at Dallas (8:00 ET, League Pass)

Dallas Wings (0-4)
Tyasha Harris
4 games, 18.6 mpg, 5.8 ppg, 1.0 rpg, 2.5 apg, 45.5 3P%

Remember how, in her first stint in the Big D, the Wings had no idea how to utilize Harris? Two regimes later, Dallas still isn’t sure what to do with her. The Wings’ roster is guard-heavy (you don’t end up with the first pick in the draft for having a strong roster), and it’s a struggle to figure out the rotation. Dallas is very much a work in progress.

Last week:
vs Minnesota (99-84 loss) – 14 minutes, 5 points, 3 assists, 2 rebounds
vs Seattle (79-71 loss) – 22 minutes, 2 points, 3 assists, rebound, block
at Minnesota (85-81 loss) – 14 minutes, 6 points, 2 assists, steal
at Atlanta (83-75 loss) – 24 minutes, 10 points, 2 assists, rebound

Upcoming games:
Thursday, May 29 at Chicago (8:00 ET, Prime Video)
Saturday, May 31 vs Chicago (8:00 ET, League Pass)

Indiana Fever (2-2)
Aliyah Boston
4 games (4 starts), 30.9 mpg, 18.5 ppg, 10.8 rpg, 2.3 apg, 2.0 bpg

New coach Stephanie White appears to have put an emphasis on involving Boston. Aside from the game at Atlanta, when the officials took both Boston and Brittney Griner out of the game, Boston has put up huge numbers (including her 100th career block). Beyond the stats, Boston is Indiana’s lynchpin: she does all the little things like screens, hockey assists, and defensive rotations, to enable others to succeed. The Fever has some work to do – sometimes it seems like Boston is the only one paying attention to defense or the play that was called – but Boston appears to have taken a giant leap forward.

Last week:
vs Chicago (93-58 win) – 27 minutes*, 19 points, 13 rebounds, 5 blocks
vs Atlanta (91-90 loss) – 37 minutes*, 24 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 blocks
at Atlanta (81-76 win) – 23 minutes*, 4 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists
vs New York (90-88 loss) – 36 minutes*, 27 points, 13 rebounds, 2 assists, block

Upcoming games:
Wednesday, May 28 at Washington (7:30 ET, NBA TV/League Pass)
Friday, May 30 vs Connecticut (7:30 ET, Ion/League Pass)

Las Vegas Aces (2-2)
Tiffany Mitchell
4 games, 12.8 mpg, 2.5 ppg, 2.5 rpg,

The Aces are definitely one of the teams still figuring things out. That includes Mitchell’s role. Her playing time decreased each game until she got garbage minutes in a blowout loss at Seattle.

Last week:
at New York (92-78 loss) – 17 minutes, 2 rebounds
at Connecticut (87-62 win) – 16 minutes, 4 points, 4 rebounds, assist, steal
vs Washington (75-72 win) – 8 minutes, 2 points
at Seattle (102-82 loss) – 10 minutes, 4 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists

A’ja Wilson
4 games (4 starts), 32.8 mpg, 20.8 ppg, 10.8 rpg, 4.0 apg, 2.3 bpg, 2.0 spg

Despite Las Vegas’ struggles, The Statue hasn’t forgotten how to play. She became the sixth player in WNBA history to record 100 double-doubles and then recorded her 500th career assist days later. Against Washington, she had the game-tying and game-winning assists.

Last week:
at New York (92-78 loss) – 36 minutes*, 31 points, 16 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals
at Connecticut (87-62 win) – 29 minutes*, 22 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals, 2 blocks
vs Washington (75-72 win) – 38 minutes*, 15 points, 12 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 blocks, 2 steals
at Seattle (102-82 loss) – 28 minutes*, 15 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 blocks

Upcoming games:
Friday, May 30 vs Los Angeles (10:00 ET, Ion/League Pass)
Sunday, June 1 at Seattle (6:00 ET, League Pass)

Los Angeles Sparks (2-3)
Sania Feagin
1 game, 1.0 mpg

Feagin made her WNBA debut in the third game of the season, playing the last minute of the first half. She managed to get off a shot attempt (a miss) in her limited time. To fill space, I’ll add that Bree Hall has been in Los Angeles recently and sat behind the Sparks’ bench to support Feagin.

Last week:
at Golden State (84-67 win) – DNP-CD
vs Minnesota (89-75 loss) – DNP-CD
at Phoenix (89-86 loss) – 1 minute, 0-1 FG, foul
vs Golden State (82-73 loss) – DNP-CD
vs Chicago (91-78 win) – DNP-CD

Upcoming games:
Tuesday, May 27 vs Atlanta (10:00 ET, League Pass)
Friday, May 30 at Las Vegas (10:00 ET, Ion/League Pass)
Sunday, June 1 vs Phoenix (6:00 ET, League Pass)

Seattle Storm (3-1)
Zia Cooke
3 games, 10.9 mpg, 4.3 ppg, 1.3 rpg, 0.7 apg

Cooke turned a training camp invite into a roster spot and appears to have turned that roster spot into a rotation spot. Seattle and Cooke have been a pleasant surprise during the first week. She doesn’t have a huge role, but she’s given the Storm some productive minutes off the bench.

Last week:
at Phoenix (81-59 loss) – 13 minutes, 6 points, 2 assists, 2 rebounds
at Dallas (79-71 win) – DNP-CD
vs Phoenix (77-70 win) – 9 minutes, 2 points, rebound
vs Las Vegas (102-82 win) – 11 minutes, 5 points, 2 assists, 2 rebounds

Upcoming games:
Tuesday, May 27 at Minnesota (8:00 ET, League Pass)
Friday, May 30 vs Atlanta (10:00 ET, Ion/League Pass)
Sunday, June 1 vs Las Vegas (6:00 ET, League Pass)
