Allisha Gray and Te-Hina Paopao scored career-highs, and Sania Feagin had a career-first. Catch up in this week’s Gamecocks in the WNBA.

Atlanta Dream (8-3)
Allisha Gray
11 games (11 starts), 34.8 mpg, 21.0 ppg, 5.5 rpg, 4.5 apg, 1.2 spg, 41.8 3P%
Gray scored another career-high on Sunday with 32 points. She has the three highest-scoring games of her career this season, and Gray is second in the league in scoring and third in threes made. Atlanta currently has the third-best record in the league, and it’s time to start talking about Gray as an MVP candidate.

Last week:
vs Indiana (77-58 win): 33 minutes*, 23 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists
vs Chicago (88-70 win): 36 minutes*, 15 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists
at Washington (89-56 win): 29 minutes*, 32 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals

Te-Hina Paopao
10 games (4 starts), 13.0 mpg, 5.1 ppg, 1.9 apg, 1.5 rpg, 45.5 3P%
Paopao had just about fallen out of the rotation when she got a second chance. She made the most of it, putting up 16 points and five assists, both career-highs. Maybe Paopao should be playing more.

Last week:
vs Indiana (77-58 win): 7 minutes, 3 points, 2 rebounds, assist, 1-1 3PT
vs Chicago (88-70 win): 5 minutes, turnover, 0-2 3PT
at Washington (89-56 win): 17 minutes, 16 points, 5 assists, rebound, 4-6 3PT

Upcoming games:
Tuesday, June 17 at New York (7:00 ET, League Pass)
Friday, June 20 vs Washington (7:30 ET, Ion/League Pass)

Chicago Sky (3-7)
Kamilla Cardoso
10 games (10 starts), 22.3 mpg, 10.9 ppg, 6.8 rpg, 1.7 apg, 0.7 bpg
Chicago is still trying to find its footing, but Cardoso seems to have gotten into a rhythm. She led the Sky in scoring against Atlanta and raised her stats across the board last week.

Last week:
at New York (85-66 loss): 19 minutes*, 8 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assists
at Atlanta (88-70 loss): 27 minutes*, 15 points (team-high), 9 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 blocks
at Connecticut (78-66 win): 25 minutes*, 10 points, 7 rebounds, assist

Upcoming games:
Tuesday, June 17 vs Washington (8:00 ET, League Pass)
Saturday, June 21 vs Phoenix (1:00 ET, ABC)

Dallas Wings (1-11)
Tyasha Harris
5 games, 16.5 mpg, 4.6 ppg, 1.0 rpg, 2.6 apg, 45.5 3P%
Harris injured her knee against Connecticut on May 27. There was optimism that it wasn’t season-ending, but unfortunately, Harris underwent season-ending surgery on June 10.

Last week:
at Phoenix (93-80 loss): DNP-Knee
at Las Vegas (88-84 loss): DNP-Knee

Upcoming games:
Tuesday, June 17 vs Golden State (8:00 ET, League Pass)
Friday, June 20 at Connecticut (7:30 ET, Ion/League Pass)
Sunday, June 22 at Washington (3:00 ET, ESPN3/League Pass)

Golden State Valkyries (5-5)
Laeticia Amihere
1 gams, 14.7 mpg, 2.0 ppg, 1.0 rpg
Golden State signed Amihere on June 8. She was available to play against Los Angeles a day later, but understandably wasn’t ready. Amihere got significant playing time against Seattle and scored her first basket for the Valkyries. I just wish “Valkyries” weren’t so tricky to spell.

Last week:
at Los Angeles (89-81 win): DNP-CD
vs Seattle (76-70 win): 15 minutes, 2 points, rebound

Upcoming games:
Tuesday, June 17 at Dallas (8:00 ET, League Pass)

Indiana Fever (5-5)
Aliyah Boston
10 games (10 starts), 29.2 mpg, 13.9 ppg, 7.6 rpg, 4.1 apg, 1.6 bpg, 60.8 FG%
Boston had a poor shooting week, and her field goal percentage dropped by five percent. She still leads the WNBA for the season, but is off the all-time pace. Boston is also top-20 in the league in assists.

Last week:
at Atlanta (77-58 loss): 29 minutes*, 7 points, 5 assists, 4 rebounds
vs New York (102-88 win): 30 minutes*, 10 points, 11 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 blocks
Sunday, June 22 at Las Vegas (3:00 ET, ESPN)

Upcoming games:
Tuesday, June 17 vs Connecticut (7:00 ET, NBA TV/League Pass)
Thursday, June 19 at Golden State (10:00 ET, Amazon Prime)

Las Vegas Aces (5-5)
Tiffany Mitchell
10 games (1 start), 13.6 mpg, 3.4 ppg, 1.9 RPG
With Wilson out against Phoenix, Mitchell got her first start since 2023 with Minnesota. Mitchell and the Aces struggled with the small lineup.

Last week:
vs Los Angeles (97-89 loss): 12 minutes, 3 points, rebound
vs Dallas (88-84 win): 13 minutes, 4 points, 5 rebounds, steal, block
vs Phoenix (76-70 loss): 15 minutes*, 4 points

A’ja Wilson
8 games (8 starts), 32.0 mpg, 20.9 ppg, 9.6 rpg, 4.0 apg, 2.6 bpg, 2.0 spg
Wilson got hit in the face against Los Angeles and left the game early. Later, she was put into concussion protocol and missed two games. It’s looking like a star-crossed season for Wilson and the Aces.

Last week:
vs Los Angeles (97-89 loss): 28 minutes*, 13 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists, 4 blocks, 2 steals
vs Dallas (88-84 win): DNP-Concussion protocol
vs Phoenix (76-70 loss): DNP-Concussion protocol

Sunday, June 22 vs Indiana (3:00 ET, ESPN)

Los Angeles Sparks (4-8)
Sania Feagin
3 games, 2.4 mpg, 0.7 ppg, 0.3 RPG
Feagin got the first basket of her career against Minnesota. She leaked out after a missed basket and Shey Peddy found her for a transition layup.

Last week:
vs Golden State (89-81 loss): DNP-CD
at Las Vegas (97-89 win): DNP-CD
at Minnesota (101-78 loss): 3 minutes, 2 points, rebound

Upcoming games:
Tuesday, June 17 vs Seattle (10:00 ET, NBA TV/League Pass)
Saturday, June 21 at Minnesota (8:00 ET, NBA TV/ League Pass)

Seattle Storm (6-5)
Zia Cooke
8 games, 11.6 mpg, 3.8 ppg, 0.8 rpg, 0.6 apg
Cooke didn’t play a lot last week, but Seattle got a huge win against Minnesota, handing the Lynx their first loss of the season.

Last week:
vs Minnesota (94-84 win): 4 minutes, steal
at Golden State (76-70 loss): 5 minutes, assist
