Aliyah Boston shocked the world and then had another great battle with Kamilla Cardoso, while A’ja Wilson did A’ja Wilson things. Get the details on them and all the other Gamecocks in the WNBA.

The upcoming week will be a light week for all the former Gamecocks. The Commissioner’s Cup game between Minnesota and New York is on Tuesday, and the rest of the league is off until Thursday.

Atlanta Dream (6-9)
Laeticia Amihere (8 games, 4.0 minutes, 0.9 pts, 1.5 rebs)
Amihere got her first significant playing time of the season against New York and pulled down a career-high six rebounds.

Last week:
At Minnesota (68-55 loss): DNP-CD
Vs Indiana (91-79 loss): 3 minutes, 2 points, steal
Vs New York (96-75 loss): 12 minutes, 3 points, 6 rebounds

Allisha Gray (15 games (15 starts), 32.4 mpg, 14.9 ppg, 3.9 rpg, 2.3 apg, 1.1 spg)
Since Rhyne Howard went down with a lower leg injury, Gray has had to shoulder the perimeter scoring load on her own. It’s been bad for the Dream and bad for Gray individually, as she is being asked to do too much to make up for Howard’s absence.

Last week:
At Minnesota (68-55 loss): 38 minutes*, 7 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals (1-16 FG)
Vs Indiana (91-79 loss): 34 minutes*, 19 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, 9-10 FTs (4-17 FG)
Vs New York (96-75 loss): 28 minutes*, 8 points, 4 assists, 4 rebounds, (3-11 FG)

This week’s schedule:
Friday. June 28 at Connecticut (7:30 ET, Ion)
Sunday, June 30 at New York (1:00 ET, ESPN)

Chicago Sky (6-9)
Kamilla Cardoso (9 games (6 starts), 23.8 mpg, 9.3 ppg, 7.2 rpg, 1.2 apg)
It took a few weeks for Cardoso to find her rhythm, but now she is living up to her draft status. Cardoso had career-highs in rebounds and points last week and forced a crucial late-game turnover against Indiana. Cardoso and Angel Reese have quickly become the frontcourt duo the Sky hoped they could be.

Last week:
Vs Dallas (83-72 win): 31 minutes*, 8 points, 11 rebounds, 2 blocks, steal
Vs Indiana (88-87 win): 28 minutes*, 16 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists, steal

This week’s schedule:
Thursday, June 27 vs Las Vegas (7:00 ET, Amazon Prime)
Sunday, June 30 vs Minnesota (3:00 ET, ESPN3/League Pass)

Connecticut Sun (13-3)
Ty Harris (16 games (16 starts), 31.1 mpg, 10.9 ppg, 3.4 apg, 1.7 rpg)
The Sun have lost three out of four since an undefeated start to the season, but Harris hasn’t had any drop-off. She continues to hit big shots and play reliable basketball.

Last week:
Vs Los Angeles (79-70 win): 31 minutes*, 14 points, 2 assists, steal
At Las Vegas (85-74 loss): 33 minutes*, 9 points, 3 rebounds, 3 steals, 2 assists
At Seattle (72-61 loss): 33 minutes*, 10 points, assist, steal

Tiffany Mitchell (16 games, 16.8 mpg, 4.7 ppg, 1.8 rpg)
Mitchell’s modest stats don’t reflect how important she has been to the Sun. She isn’t being asked to score, but she is playing superb defense.

Last week:
Vs Los Angeles (79-70 win): 20 minutes, 6 points, 4 rebounds
At Las Vegas (85-74 loss): 23 minutes, 2 points
At Seattle (72-61 loss): 16 minutes, 6 points, 2 rebounds, assist

This week’s schedule:
Thursday, June 27 at Washington (7:00 ET, League Pass)
Friday, June 28 vs Atlanta (7:30 ET, Ion)

Indiana Fever (7-11)
Aliyah Boston (18 games (18 starts), 30.1 mpg, 13.0 ppg, 7.9 rpg, 2.7 apg, 1.3 bpg)
Boston shocked everyone when she ditched the colored braids that had been her signature for years. It didn’t affect her play, though. Since Indiana shifted the focus of its offense to Boston, she and the Fever have been on a tear. They had won four straight before losing to Chicago, despite a three from Boston with 19 seconds left.

Last week:
Vs Washington (88-81 win): 37 minutes*, 22 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists, block, steal
At Atlanta (91-79 win): 26 minutes*, 10 points, 10 rebounds, 3 blocks, assist, steal
At Chicago (88-87 loss): 36 minutes*, 18 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 blocks, steal

Victaria Saxton (6 games, 2.2 mpg, 0.5 ppg, 0.2 rpg)
Saxton got in the game against Atlanta, just to be a part of the Gamecock-fest.

Last week:
Vs Washington (88-81 win): DNP-CD
At Atlanta (91-79 win): 1 minutes, no stats
Vs New York (96-75 loss): DNP-CD

This week’s schedule:
Thursday, June 27 at Seattle (10:00 ET, Amazon Prime)
Sunday, June 30 at Phoenix (3:00 ET, ESPN)

Las Vegas Aces (8-6)
A’ja Wilson (14 games (14 starts), 33.8 mpg, 27.8 ppg, 11.6 rpg, 2.5 apg, 2.4 bpg, 1.9 spg)
The Point Gawd, Chelsea Gray, made her debut last week, and the Aces look like a completely different team. Except for A’ja Wilson, who continues to demolish opponents.

Last week:
Vs Seattle (94-83 win): 32 minutes*, 27 points, 9 rebounds, 4 steals, 3 assists, 2 blocks
Vs Connecticut (85-74 win): 34 minutes*, 26 points, 16 rebounds, 2 blocks, 2 steals, assist

This week’s schedule:
Thursday, June 27 at Chicago (7:00 ET, Amazon Prime)
Saturday, June 29 at Washington (2:00 ET, League Pass)

Los Angeles Sparks (4-13)
Zia Cooke (14 games, 8.7 mpg, 3.7 ppg, 0.9 rpg, 0.6 apg)
Cooke had fallen out of the rotation and was barely playing, if at all. Then she turned in her two best games of the season against New York, including tying her career-high with 14 points. Will she be able to build on that momentum?

Last week:
At Connecticut (79-70 loss): 4 minutes, 2 points
At New York (93-80 loss): 17 minutes, 13 points, 2 rebounds, assist, steal, block
At New York (98-88 loss): 17 minutes, 14 points, rebound, steal

This week’s schedule:
Friday, June 28 at Phoenix (10:00 ET, Ion)

Phoenix Mercury (8-8)
Mikiah Herbert Harrigan (11 games, 8.6 mpg, 2.5 ppg, 1.1 rpg, 0.5 bpg)
Herbert Harrigan made her first appearance since Brittney Griner rejoined the rotation and chipped in a solid eight minutes.

Last week:
Vs New York (99-93 win): DNP-CD
At Minnesota (73-60 loss): 8 minutes, 3 points, steal

This week’s schedule:
Friday, June 28 vs Los Angeles (10:00 ET, Ion)
Sunday, June 30 vs Indiana (3:00 ET, ESPN)

Unsigned
Brea Beal
Las Vegas cut Beal early in training camp.

Alaina Coates (Preseason stats with Seattle: 2 games, 8.0 minutes, 3.0 pts, 1.0 reb, 1.0 block)
Coates got a long look in Seattle but didn’t fit in with the Storm’s rebuild. She’s got lots of experience, though, and will probably be one of the first calls for any team that needs post depth once the season starts.

Kaela Davis (Preseason stats with Seattle: 2 games, 14.0 minutes, 1.5 points, 3.5 rebs)
Davis was hoping to show she was fully recovered from an Achilles injury, but she didn’t do enough to convince Seattle.

Destanni Henderson (Preseason stats with Atlanta: 2 games, 19.0 minutes, 3.5 pts, 6.0 assists, 2.0 rebs, 1.0 steal)
Henderson was signed after training camp started and put up nice numbers in Atlanta’s two preseason games. Whenever Henny gets a shot, she contributes, but she can’t seem to stick anywhere.
