The WNBA Draft begins at 7:00 pm ET on ESPN. It consists of 38 picks over three rounds (the Aces’ first-round pick was forfeited due to violations of league policies).

The 2025 Draft marks the debut of the expansion Golden State Valkyries. Next season, the WNBA will add two more expansion teams, Toronto and Portland.

South Carolina has three players who are eligible for the WNBA Draft: Bree Hall, Sania Feagin, and Te-Hina Paopao. Feagin and Paopao were invited to attend the draft in New York.

South Carolina has had 19 players selected in the WNBA Draft. 15 of those picks have come during the Dawn Staley era. South Carolina has had a player selected in three consecutive drafts.

(*Late Sunday evening, Minnesota traded the 11th pick to Chicago. Not all of the mock drafts reflect this trade.)

Te-Hina Paopao (5-9, Guard)
Senior stats: 9.4 points, 2.7 rebounds, 2.8 assists, .370 3P%
Projection: Paopao returned for her senior season to improve her skills on defense, at point guard, and on the dribble drive. She did all three. Her shooting numbers were down from the season before, but Paopao is still one of the best shooters in the draft, and that could make her a first-round pick.

Mock drafts:
ESPN – not drafted in the first round
The Athletic – 10th by Chicago
Yahoo – 6th by Washington
AP – not drafted in the first round
Fansided – not drafted in the first round
Bleacher Report – not drafted in the first round
No Cap Space – 12th by Dallas
CBS Sports – not drafted in the first round
SI – 12th by Dallas
The Sporting News – 11th by Chicago
SB Nation – 10th by Chicago

Sania Feagin (6-3, Forward)
Senior stats: 8.1 points, 4.5 rebounds, 1.5 blocks
Projection: Feagin’s size and defensive ability grab attention, but it’s her ability to play comfortably away from the basket that has teams interested. In the WNBA, forwards have to have a midrange game (and be able to hit the occasional three). Feagin has that, plus solid ball-handling.

Mock drafts:
ESPN – 10th by Chicago
The Athletic – not drafted in the first round
Yahoo – not drafted in the first round
AP – 8th by Connecticut
Fansided – not drafted in the first round
Bleacher Report – not drafted in the first round
No Cap Space – 11th by Minnesota*
CBS Sports – 12th by Dallas
SI – not drafted in the first round
The Sporting News – not drafted in the first round
SB Nation – 11th by Chicago

Bree Hall (6-0, Guard)
Senior stats: 6.3 points, 3.0 rebounds, .383 3P%
Projection: Hall hasn’t gotten a lot of pre-draft buzz, but as a quintessential three-and-D wing (who is closer to 6-2 than her listed height) somebody will probably take a chance on her.

Mock drafts:
No mock drafts have Ball being selected in the first round. Most of the mocks don’t go past the first round.

Former Gamecock Saniya Rivers is also in the Draft. She played her freshman season at South Carolina before transferring to NC State. She is projected to be drafted anywhere from sixth to 12th to dropping out of the first round.
