South Carolina post Kamilla Cardoso will not play Thursday night against Alabama. Cardoso is being given the night off for rest.
Cardoso played for the Brazilian national team from February 8-11, playing three games in four days. She played seven games in 18 days, plus practice and travel to and from Brazil.
Cardoso returned from Brazil and turned in back-to-back double-doubles against Tennessee and Georgia. She understandably looked tired at times but battled through it to dominate the second half and was named a national player of the week for her efforts.
