2024 post Adhel Tac will announce her commitment on October 27. She will make the announcement during a pep rally at her school. The pep rally is scheduled to take place from 8:00-9:30 pm eastern.
South Carolina is one of Tac’s four finalists, along with Louisville, Georgia, and North Carolina. Tac visited Louisville, Georgia, and South Carolina in September. She revealed her commitment date following the South Carolina visit and it appears Tac will not visit North Carolina.
At 6-5, Tac fills a critical recruiting need for South Carolina. The Gamecocks have missed out on several posts in the 2023 and 2024 recruiting cycles. Since signing Aliyah Boston in 2019, South Carolina has only signed one high school post: Ashlyn Watkins, who probably should have been listed as a forward.

The Gamecocks have had to turn to the transfer portal for depth. They brought in Kamilla Cardoso in 2021 and junior college player of the year Sakima Walker this summer.
According to HoopGurlz Tac is the 33rd-ranked prospect in the 2024 class. She is the fourth-ranked post. Tac’s junior season ended early due to an injury. She is back to full strength, but the missed time caused Tac to drop slightly in the rankings.
South Carolina already has one commitment for 2024, point guard Madisen McDaniel. McDaniel is the 12th-ranked overall prospect and second-ranked point guard.
