South Carolina is one of four finalists for 2024 post Adhel Tac.

Tac is a 6-5 center from Grand Prairie, Texas. She is currently ranked 24th overall by HoopGurlz, and the second-ranked player at her position. Tac has been ranked as high as 12th overall.

An injury in January of 2023 cost Tac the remainder of her junior season and put a pause on her recruitment. Tac is fully recovered and returned to the court this summer. She announced her finalists on social media on August 29, 2003. Along with South Carolina, Georgia, North Carolina, and Louisville made the cut.

Tac is a traditional center that works mostly out of the low post. She is a good rebounder and defender with soft hands.

South Carolina did not sign a high school post last year, although the Gamecocks added junior college post Sakima Walker, who has two seasons of eligibility remaining. The Gamecocks aggressively recruited Blanca Thomas (North Carolina) and Kennedy Ume (Stanford) but ultimately missed out on both. Landing Tac, who is the highest-ranked of the three, would be a major save.

Tac has not set a timetable for announcing her decision.
