On Thursday night, Steph Curry made Gamecock headlines when he walked into Chase Center for the Golden State Warriors’ game against the Toronto Raptors wearing a MiLaysia Fulwiley shirt. Last year, Curry’s division of Under Armour–Curry Brand–signed the South Carolina women’s basketball star as their first collegiate athlete. On Friday, the reason behind Curry’s Fulwiley promotion came to light.

After showcasing her first player edition Curry Brand shoe at the beginning of the season, Fulwiley has a second incoming.

Riffing off of her “@laywitdabutter” social media handle and smooth play style, the C2 FloTro Low PE Butta shoes are yellow, have a simulated stick of butter on the inner sole, include Fulwiley’s “MF” initials and her No. 12 jersey number, and have multiple mentions of “laywitdabutter.”

While Fulwiley didn’t wear the new shoe for the Gamecocks’ first round NCAA Tournament game against the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles on Friday, Curry Brand teased on social media that the dynamic guard might showcase the new kicks at some point this March.

Against Tech, Fulwiley scored 15 points in less than 20 minutes of action. She also chipped in with five assists, three rebounds, three steals, and a block. Like the rest of her team, Fulwiley was efficient (6-for-8 from the field) in the lopsided 108-48 victory.

Fulwiley and South Carolina will take the floor again on Sunday, March 23rd for the NCAA Tournament’s Round of 32. USC will face the Indiana Hoosiers, a team they also met in last year’s NCAA Tournament. The game will tip at 3:00 p.m., and ABC will broadcast the contest. Fans also can stream the action on the ESPN app.
