On Sunday, South Carolina women’s basketball capped off its third season in a row with a sweep of the SEC’s regular season and SEC Tournament titles. The Gamecocks dominated the No. 1-ranked Texas Longhorns 64-45 in Greenville to take their usual place underneath the confetti.

Following the victory, three South Carolina stars earned spots on the SEC All-Tournament team.

Forward Chloe Kitts made the team and earned SEC Tournament MVP honors. The junior scored efficiently (74%) en route to 16.7 points per game. She also led the Gamecocks in rebounding with 7.7 boards per game. Kitts continued her trend of being a solid secondary playmaker with three assists per game in Greenville, as well. She showcased an ability to make tough shots when guarded closely, too.

Senior post player Sania Feagin joined Kitts on the All-Tournament team. She owned the paint for South Carolina, scoring 12.7 points and pulling down 5.3 rebounds per game. Her offense was efficient (she shot 72% from the field), and she altered tons of shots down low. Feagin also made several jumpers–including a 3-pointer against Texas–that provided the USC offense with additional spacing.

MiLaysia Fulwiley also made the SEC All-Tournament team. As is often the case with Fulwiley, her impact was bigger than her statistical output. The sophomore guard gave the Gamecocks momentum on several occasions with impressive finishes at the rim, a buzzer-beating 3-pointer, and flashing passes. She also had some great defensive moments. Fulwiley averaged 13 points, four rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 2.7 steals during the tournament run.

South Carolina’s SEC Tournament domination secured the Gamecocks’ status as a No. 1 seed heading into this year’s NCAA Tournament. The No. 1 overall seed is in play, as well. Dawn Staley’s team will learn its fate next week on Selection Sunday. Fans can tune in to ESPN on Sunday, March 16th at 8:00 p.m. to watch the Selection Sunday Show.
