Sophomore guard MiLaysia Fulwiley pulled down the league’s Sixth Woman of the Year award. For the season, Fulwiley is averaging 11.9 points, 2.9 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 1.5 steals, and 0.7 blocks. She has also turned into a disruptive and, at times, game-changing defender. Fulwiley has played her best ball of late, and the Gamecocks will need that to continue to have a chance at repeating as national champs.
Joining Fulwiley in receiving SEC accolades, both Joyce Edwards and Te-Hina Paopao earned All-SEC distinction.
Edwards, a true freshman, was named to the first team. She is just the third South Carolina women’s basketball product to make the first team as a true freshman. She joins Aliyah Boston and A’ja Wilson in that regard. On the season, the Columbia-area native is averaging 13 points, 4.9 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 1.1 steals, and 0.6 blocks per game. Naturally, Edwards also picked up an SEC All-Freshman team honor, too.
Paopao made second-team All-SEC. Known for her sharpshooting ability, the senior guard has developed into a more complete player this season. Paopao is an improved defender who scored with more consistency inside the arc in her second year at USC. She is averaging 10.2 points, 3.0 assists, 2.7 rebounds, and 1.2 steals per game.

Along with her Sixth Woman of the Year selection, Fulwiley earned a spot on the All-SEC second team. One of the most exciting players in the country, Fulwiley has stepped her game up in SEC play. She has scored in double-figures in 13 of 16 games since the calendar turned to 2025.
South Carolina senior forward Sania Feagin and redshirt junior guard Raven Johnson also earned spots on the SEC All-Defensive team. The duo have been excellent on that end of the floor. Johnson is one of the top point-of-attack perimeter defenders in the sport. Feagin has stepped up in a major way for the Gamecocks since Ashlyn Watkins tore her ACL in January.
