The SEC announced 2026 home and away opponents on Tuesday, and South Carolina learned which team it will face twice.

Under the current scheduling guidelines, each SEC team plays 16 games. Each team faces 14 other teams once, seven at home and seven on the road, plus a home-and-home against one rotating opponent.

For the 2025-26 season, South Carolina and Alabama play each other twice. Last season, Alabama finished sixth in the SEC with a 10-6 record. South Carolina beat Alabama 76-58 in Tuscaloosa last year, behind 21 points from Joyce Edwards and a double-double from Chloe Kitts.

Alabama loses its three leading scorers from last season: Aaliyah Nye, Zaay Green, and Sarah Ashlee Barker. Nye and Barker are both currently playing in the WNBA for the Aces and Sparks, respectively.

The Gamecocks lead the all-time series with the Crimson Tide 33-15. Under Dawn Staley, the Gamecocks are a perfect 23-0.

Last season was the first year for the current scheduling format. South Carolina played Texas in a home-and-home, splitting the games and leading to the infamous coin flip for the top seed in the SEC tournament. Texas will come to Columbia again this season. (They will also meet in a non-conference game.)

South Carolina will also host Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Georgia, and Missouri, all the teams it played on the road last season.

The road games are at Auburn, Arkansas, Florida, LSU, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, and Kentucky, the teams it hosted last season.

Other notable home-and-home pairings include LSU and Texas, Kentucky and Vanderbilt, Mississippi State and Tennessee, and Texas A&M and Oklahoma.

The Gamecocks have also confirmed nonconference games against Louisville for the ACC/SEC Challenge, Duke, UCLA, and Texas in the Players Era Championship, Southern Cal, and South Florida.

The SEC season begins on January 1, 2026.

Dates, times, and broadcast information will be announced at a later time. Last year, the announcement was made in late August.
