Garnet Trust hosting WNBA Draft watch party
Several stars from the South Carolina women’s basketball team are expected to have their names called during Monday’s WNBA Draft.
Garnet Trust is hosting a watch party so that Gamecocks fans have an opportunity to gather and see where their favorite players are selected.
The event will be held on Monday, April 10 at Market on Main in Columbia beginning at 6:30 p.m. EST. Admission is free, and a portion of the proceeds will go back to Garnet Trust, earmarked for NIL opportunities for the the women’s basketball program. Current members of the South Carolina women’s basketball team are set to be in attendance, along with entertainment from DJ Puff.
“We are so excited to be able to watch the WNBA draft with fans and current players to see where our seniors get picked,” said Jeremy Smith, Director of Operations for Garnet Trust. “Without Bakari Sellers and his love for the WBB team, events like this would not be possible.”

Dawn Staley’s program has a host of departing seniors that went to three straight Final Fours and captured a national championship in 2021, including Aliyah Boston, who is projected as the number one overall pick.
