Benjamin Hall planning South Carolina official visit
Kennesaw (Ga.) North Cobb class of 2023 running back and South Carolina football target Benjamin Hall told Gamecock Central last month that he was planning to set his official visit with the Gamecocks soon.
That has now happened.
Hall, who visited South Carolina over the weekend, told Gamecock Central via text that he’s planning to take his official visit on June 10.
That will be the third South Carolina football visit for Hall, who has emerged as a priority target for the Gamecocks, and said the most recent visit “was great as usual.”
Running backs coach Montario Hardesty’s early and consistent efforts appear to be paying off. While Hall isn’t naming favorites he does seem high on the Gamecocks.
“He’s a cool guy,” Hall told GC in February. “He was in the league, so he’s going to know what to do to perfect my game. He just hit me a few minutes ago asking if I got MVP. He’s a good dude, though, I like him a lot.”
The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM) likes the Gamecocks’ chances. When the OV was entered into the On3 database, the chances of the Gamecocks landing Hall jumped from in the 80s to 92.7 percent.
The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine has odds for each recruit’s commitment. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college. On3’s RPM factors in machine learning, expert predictions, social sentiment, visits, and historical trends, with expert predictions a significant part of the equation.

Asked in the prior interview who all with the South Carolina football program he talks to the most, Hall said the whole staff, including area recruiter Justin Stepp.
“He’s a cool guy. I like him,” Hall told GC in February. “He has good energy, always hitting me up, just checking on me and letting me know what’s the word. He’s a good guy. They want me to get there; they want me to come there. They like my game, they like my film, they like me as a person. It’s a great overall energy.”
While Hall hasn’t confirmed which visits he’s already made, Michigan, Alabama, Cincinnati, Virginia and Wake have been on the spring visit schedule.
Hall had a big junior season rushing for 543 yards and eight touchdowns, averaging 5.7 yards per carry, while sharing carries with three-star QB Malachi Singleton.
