Rattler earned On3 Player of the Week honors while Satterfield was one of Matt Zenitz’s coordinators of the week and the only one listed in the SEC.
Rattler is coming off of maybe the best performance ever by a South Carolina quarterback, going 30-for-37 for 438 yards and six touchdowns to just no interceptions.
He had one fewer touchdown than he did incompletion as South Carolina scored touchdowns on nine of its 12 drives, including the first five. Two of those three drives that didn’t end in points were the ends of both halves.
The Gamecocks went three-and-out just once and had its most explosive day offensively.
Satterfield, after consternation throughout the season, called maybe the best game of his career with South Carolina finishing with 606 yards of offense, averaging eight yards per play.
The Gamecocks (7-4, 4-4 SEC) scored on all eight red zone trips, went 8-for-11 on third down and 2-for-2 on fourth.

The first of a few spots in this week’s SEC Power Rankings where a team appears one spot below the team it just knocked off, we’ll go ahead and note again that this week’s rankings were not easy to compile,” On3 wrote.
“Tennessee remains ahead based on overall body of work, but Shane Beamer’s group had a truly special performance on Saturday. It’s easy to see how high the ceiling could be if he can coax a little more consistency out of South Carolina going forward.”
