It’s official: South Carolina Gamecocks fans will see Trovon Baugh suiting up in the Garnet and Black in 2025.

Baugh has signed a name, image, and likeness (NIL) contract with Garnet Trust, it was announced on Tuesday afternoon.

That means that Shane Beamer will keep one of the team’s veteran offensive linemen in Columbia for his junior season.

“Kudos to our fanbase, kudos to our administration, kudos to the Garnet Trust for all they’ve done to be able to help us and our guys out in so many ways,” Beamer said of South Carolina’s efforts in player retention last year. “This program is about relationships, honesty, and trust and having conversations with guys, and building relationships throughout the season. Guys have expressed to us that they want to be (here).”

“I think retaining our current roster is the most important thing,” added Darren Uscher, South Carolina football’s Director of Player Personnel and Recruiting, during a recent appearance on GC Live.

Coming off a Freshman All-SEC campaign in 2023, Baugh held mostly a reserve role with South Carolina this past season. He appeared in 11 of the team’s 12 regular season games but did not start in any.

Baugh played a combined 137 snaps – 81 at right guard on offense and 56 on special teams – in 2024, according to PFF. He appeared on a season-high 30 plays in the Gamecocks’ 56-12 win over Wofford on Nov. 23.
