It was just about two weeks ago that South Carolina landed not one but two of the state’s top prospects. Flash forward to today and now the Gamecocks can say that three of the four top players in South Carolina are committed to USC.

Camden High School standout defensive tackle Xzavier McLeod has announced his commitment to the Gamecocks. At just under 6-foot-5, 325 pounds, McLeod is rated as the third overall prospect in the state. He’s also listed as the 23rd top defensive lineman in the nation.

With the commitments last month of Markee Anderson and Monteque Rhames, USC has now earned pledges from the number two, three, and four overall prospects from South Carolina.

What stands out about the way McLeod plays is that he’s physical and has power. But yet despite being are big as he is, he still moves around extremely well. He has the ability to cause pressure in the backfield with his closing speed.

Mcleod chooses USC over some big name schools including, Georgia, Alabama, LSU, Michigan, Oklahoma and Florida.
