Video Breakdown: 4-star LB Grayson 'Pup' Howard commits to South Carolina
Hours after South Carolina landed wide receiver, CJ Adams, Shane Beamer took to Twitter to share another “Welcome Home” tweet. Like we’ve seen a lot of so far this offseason, especially these past two weeks, once again it’s a commit from the state of Florida.
Four-star linebacker Grayson ‘Pup’ Howard has committed to USC. Ranked as the nation’s consensus 19th top linebacker for the class of 2023, the Gamecocks have stayed consistent with Howard from day one. This past weekend marked the sixth time the Jacksonville product visited South Carolina. This news also comes after Howard took official visits earlier in the month to both Florida and Georgia.

Standing at 6-3, 208 pounds, On3 is higher on Howard than the consensus ranking, as On3 has him ranked as the seventh top linebacker in the nation for his class. The bottom line? USC is landing a massive playmaker who a year ago had over 150 tackles.
