Former Georgia Tech EDGE Kyle Kennard has committed to Shane Beamer and the Gamecocks. Listed at 6-foot-5, 238 pounds, he arrives in South Carolina with just one year of eligibility remaining but he’s also coming off an impressive 2023 season. This past year, Kennard finished with 54 tackles, 11 tackles for loss, six sacks, and a pair of forced fumbles. And for anyone that’s worried about, ‘Well, can he do it in the SEC?’ 1.5 of those TFLs came against a then No.1 ranked Georgia team. So, next question.

A Georgia native, Kennard was a coveted prospect from the transfer portal. He visited Florida State last weekend and was originally slated, per sources according to Gamecock Central’s Chris Clark, for a trip to Missouri this weekend.
