Video Breakdown: South Carolina's 2024 SEC opponents announced, what to know
On Wednesday, the SEC announced the conference opponents for teams in 2024.
We take deeper look into everything you need to know about who South Carolina will be playing in the SEC play in 2024 and what changes are coming to the conference. Plus, a reminder on the non-conference opponents that are already slated to play the Gamecocks in 2024.

Keep in mind, the SEC didn’t release the dates as to when these games will be played. That will be announced later in the year on a date still to be determined.
One of the biggest difference South Carolina fans will notice is that with divisions going away the Gamecocks won’t play Tennessee, Georgia, or Florida in 2024. With the additions of Texas and Oklahoma I’m not that surprised to see changes like this happen. What I am surprised to see is that all three of them going away this year.

The SEC wasn’t gonna make everyone happy but all in all, I think they did a great job. Unfortunately when you add teams some traditions will sadly have to come to an end. As far as USC goes there’s some tough games (like everyone has) but I don’t think the conference porked them.
Two things to keep in mind for 2024. First, the obvious, without divisions the SEC Championship will be against the two teams who finish with the best records against SEC teams. The second, the new 12-team College Football Playoff will be introduced. SOS should only help more SEC teams make it.
