On a night that he’s dreamed of ever since he was a little kid, GG Jackson was all smiles when he arrived at his NBA Draft watch party at Williams-Brice Stadium on Thursday night.
But even on a night where everyone is telling him how great he is, the 18-year-old Jackson showed humility. When asked what he’d tell Gamecock fans who are watching tonight, Jackson was candid.

“I want to apologize again. I don’t know how much I can stress that for at times of how I looked and how at times I acted towards my coaches and even my teammates,” said Jackson inside of the Cockaboose Club. “I want people to know that’s not me. That was ‘Big Headed GG.’ I’m ‘Little Headed GG right now. Thank you for your support and everything. Don’t stop supporting no matter what pick it is. I’m bringing South Carolina on my back no matter where I go.”
