Video: Recapping South Carolina's spring game

Under the lights at Williams-Brice, South Carolina wrapped up spring football on Saturday night with their annual Garnet & Black spring game.
Before we turn our attention to the offseason, we recap the night that was and take a closer look at some of the players that stood out. In this video, I breakdown some of my biggest takeaway, which include:
- Evaluating Spencer Rattler’s performance; finished 8-for-10 for 79 yds
- Why Luke Doty’s outing deserves recognition as he made his return just six months after breaking his foot; finished 7-for-10 for 85 yds, TD
- MarShawn Lloyd moving like the MarShawn we knew before his ACL injury his freshman year
- Additional offensive players who grabbed my attention
- How the pride of Camden Joseph Byrnes, a 2021 walk-on, stole the show on defense with two interceptions in the second half
In addition, hear from Shane Beamer, Spencer Rattler, and Jordan Burch. Burch gave us a good look at some of the areas the defensive line wanted to be able to grow in this spring.
An additional side note that I didn’t mention in the video: Beamer shared that there were 32 offered prospects at the game last night. He was extremely grateful for the support fans showed as he instantly heard positive feedback from many of the recruits on social media follow the game. Beamer went on to say about the atmosphere, “There are teams that would die for that walk for a regular season game that we had today.”
