South Carolina will play Notre Dame in the Gator Bowl on Friday, Dec. 30th in Jacksonville, FL, per Brett McMurphy. This will be the fifth time that the Gamecocks have ever played in this bowl game and first time since 1987.
While South Carolina is 0-4 all-time in the Gator Bowl, this bowl game does have some history with the program. In 1946, it was the Gator Bowl that USC appeared in marking the first time in program history that they played in a bowl game.
