During halftime of the South Carolina – Kentucky men’s basketball game, Shane Beamer was presented the Steve Spurrier First-Year Coach of the Year Award. When Beamer began to address the crowd, the very first thing he did was thank Spurrier for bringing him to South Carolina in 2007.
